We made it to Bogota!!
We got to Bogota after 2 days of trying last night around 9:30. What a blessing to finally unload our suitcases and see beds we could get in. We stayed up visiting with the Parra family while drinking some fruit juice we never had before! YUM! David has been gone all day today trying to fix the big problem with our tickets. When Lan (the airline) cancelled our morning flight to Lima then put us on an evening flight to Lima we lost our evening flight to Bogota and they also cancelled the portion back home!! So besides spending hours in Iquitos then again in Lima David has been trying to get Avianca to reinstate our original reservation. They are wanting us to pay more for each ticket just to Ft. Lauderdale than what we paid for the entire round trip to Lima and Bogota!! Please pray with us it will be resolved quickly. Today the kids and I went to one of the projects where there are 220 kids. They either come before school or after school (depending on the hour they go to school - there are morning and afternoon hours-. They have bible study, help with their homework, and other classes as well as a hot meal for lunch. The kids and I helped feed the kids and we got to play with them and talk to them. It was a holiday so many were not there. Tomorrow is the birthday of Bogota -470 years!! I guess we will see how it is celebrated. Thanks for all the prayers please keep it up!
