Generation Without Limits Camp

We returned from the Youth Camp this morning. All of us are very tired and the keyboard keys are sticking on this computer so I will write more later. The Lord really moved and I believe every unsaved kid that came left knowing the Lord. There were 90 campers and 170 total including staff. Many deliverances happened. The Kimlers worked as a team and we had an awesome time.

¡Oh the Beauty of the Amazon!

And In The Churches of Lima...

In The Streets of Lima....

On The Way to Lima

We are on the Amazon

As we flew over the beautiful Amazon I thought about the contrast between Lima which is a huge city with buses, cars, and millions of people and the Amazon which is a much slower pace but many many people. The major mode of transportation is a little cart pulled by a moped. So you move slow, but it is really fun and quite exciting. Read each of the kids comments to hear what they are experiencing. Today I went to pick up Helen, our dear friend from Venezuela who is going to be at the youth camp and ladies conference with us. We had a wonderful share time as she shared the things she has been going through in the ministry. After breakfast we met with the Youth pastor and his assistants to go over plans about the youth camp and what we will be sharing on. The topics are going to be great. David and I will be sharing together and individually on Breaking generational curses and inner healing, Helen on self esteem and Bob (our friend from Georgia) on the new generation. The pastors will share about sexuality. Rachelle will be a co-counselor with Helen and Joanna will be helping them. I will have a co counselor and Abigail. The boys will be helping in other aspects - whatever needed. Today we will go to the campground to clean and prepare it for tomorrow when we start the camp. Please pray for stamina, health, protection from insects -we are using mosquitoe nets and sleeping on bunk beds in a Baptist campground not far from here. There is a shower but we will also be bathing in the Amazon. They are expecting 2 out of every three kids or young adults that are coming to be unsaved - many need deliverance and inner healing. I am very excited about this priviledge and covet your prayers. We are trying to upload some pictures but so far can´t make it work.

We leave for the Amazon tomorrow

Our time here has been so incredible. We have enjoyed the short time with the Ecclesia team. They were exhausted as we arrived and we both rested, then they left for two days while David and I taught and our family prayed for people on Saturday night. We were at 2 churches - one was an anniversary celebration where all the kids helped minister to people at the end. It was so precious to see each of them praying over people that came forward. The church had a picture of all the nations worshipping around the throne behind the pulpit. That is what Global Worship is about and you can bet that is what David preached on challenging them that this is the hour for the Latino to reach the unreached people. Afterwards there was an altar call and our kids all helped pray over people that came to the altar. It was such a blessing to see each of them pray as people were crying and wanting prayer. We saw people healed of severe pain in their stomach, back pain and prayed for many different things with them. Our ride to the next church came and they sent us away with bags of food since we couldn't stay for the meal. We went in a taxi and the ride was a little nauseating with all the fumes from cars and the fact that it was fast and swervy. Traffic here is constant, loud, overwhelming and the air is filled with car fumes. The twins felt like throwing up when we got to the church so stayed to the back. The rest of us were taken to the front just in time to preach. I guess they were worshipping till we got there. The people were so open and hungry. David shared about worship and gave them to the opportunity to come forward if they wanted prayer. Many did and the Lord really showed up!! WOW! I shared how in Iquitos 1 out of every 3 women have been abused and I felt there were women there that needed ministry. A cry literally went up of women who began to sob and the Lord ministered to their hurts while we walked around and prayed over each one. God literally changed their cries to smiles and peace as he healed hearts. They gave us a Llama rug which I have always wanted as a thankyou!! On Sunday we shared in Pastor Julios church and another church that night. Pastor Julio shared some video clips of an actual television report of the Conquerors when they were here. I am hoping to get a copy of that soon to put a blurb on our website or facebook. David, Rachelle and I were able to get some dental work done today. I have not had work done in 5 years because of the cost in the US. I got 8 cavities filled with resin ,and a cleaning for what 1 cavity costs in the states!! Thank you Jesus. Bob Smith got here today and is really tired. He will be travelling with us tomorrow. Our family travels to the Amazon in the morning where we will prepare for the Youth Camp. Please be praying as most of the kids that will come are unsaved. The Ecclesia team leaves tomorrow night for the states and will arrive on Wed. morning..Pray for their trip.

We are in Lima

We battled through rain on Wed. morning from Lakeland to Ft. Lauderdale which slowed us down and got to Pastor Hector´s house about one-half hour before we needed to be at the airport. We left with 14 bags put through (including sleeping bags, 2 keyboards to give away, tapes for one pastor and other things to give away) and 12 carry on bags. The trip was long but uneventful. This is the first time that the twins remember flying and they were totally wired. It was like having them on caffeine and sugar at the same time !!
2 funny stories: After we had finished our meal, one twin (to be unnamed -those of you reading MAY NOT ask which twin) wanted to lean her chair back. David was behind her and had 2 glasses of water-one in his hand and the other on his tray. She couldn´t get the seat to go back. She looked behind - saw that he had one in his hand and did not see the one on the tray. She reached her hand back and lifted up the tray spilling the water everywhere!! Really funny because David started jumping from the cold water and making noises. We all had a good laugh. The other happened when the pilot walked back and as he was returning to the front I told her that that was the pilot. She got this panicked look on her face and said Why is he back here? What about the plane?? (She was really worried about the plane crashing)
We got to the church where we are staying (Pastor Julio Romero´s -Ani Brown´s dad) at about 3:00a.m. and slept in the next morning. We were really exhausted! Then the next afternoon we changed money got some things for the dinner that night and then the kids and I went to a local outdoor market by taxi while David took our computers to be serviced at a place that fixes them. We went to bed pretty early because the Ecclesia team were supposed to come in that night late. The reports from the team are amazing! They are very exhausted from going for days on end from 6am till 11p.m every day. They were in 6 schools a day doing a drama, passing out a gospel booklet and the strength team called the Conquerors would do strength feats like the Power team and then share the gospel. They are going to rest a few days as they are very exhausted.
This morning we got to see the team one by one as they woke up and came to eat breakfast.
David and I were scheduled for a church tonight but the Pastor cancelled this afternoon. Tomorrow we are supposed to be at 2 different churches - one is an Anniversary and the other is on Worship. Please be praying for the team to recuperate and for us as we prepare to share 2 times tomorrow. Pray for open doors open hearts and Fruit that remains.

WE Made it to Mobile, Alabama!!

This may be a slow moving crew but we are progressing!! We stopped in Mobile last night and we quite exhausted. Our air conditioner from the hotel quit during the night and the security guard couldn't get it working - I guess preparation for the Amazon. Then this morning it worked by resetting the electrical button - eventhough we tried that lots of times last night. We are repacking in the hotel room to make sure we are in our limits and we are more organized. Our car problems delayed us 2 days, but not from leaving to Lima. We will drive to Lakeland today - visit the Revival tonight and then drive in the morning to Ft. Lauderdale. Our flight leaves at 5:30 so we want to be at the airport by 2:00 (they require 3 hours ahead of time for International flights). Our pastor friend from Venezuela now lives 5 minutes from the airport and will keep our van. Still have some minor details to work out. Thanks for your prayers - Please lift David Luke up. His cough is not much better and not getting enough sleep doesn't help it. Pray for our trip to Lakeland to be safe and with no delays. Bless you!

Let's Try Again!

YES we are still in Little Rock - but we are leaving! Yesterday was another experience for us in patience. We called friends who lived in Little Rock or had lived there to see if they knew of someone and went to 3 different places to see if there was a mechanic that could fix our van. No one had a mechanic or if they did they didn't want to take the time because they said it would take the whole day. Finally a man who had just been on a mission trip to Guatemala named Earle, waiting for his carto be fixed helped us find a place in N. Little Rock that said they could fix it. We went there (a good 20 minute drive) and they started on it. Meanwhile the kids and I walked to a nearby Best Buy to look around and then the girls and I walked to the mall where I got my haircut. The hairdresser and I started talking and I had the opportunity to pray for her. She is a Christian that God has great plans in store for and the Lord had some things to share with her that were very timely. I can't wait to hear what God does in your life Alicia. I felt very priviledged that God would let me meet her. Please pray that she will do what He has told her to do. By the the time the car was fixed it was supper time. We ate and were so tired decided to stay and get up early on Monday and try again. So here we are getting ready to head out. Please pray we make it to Lakeland by today. Anne Harrison and Chris and Brenda Walker are there so we are looking forward to what God has for us. More about that later. Pray for us as we travel and for our van please!! Oh a little side note. I talked to Sofia (our African daughter) and she and Mark got all their money - last minute yesterday- for their trip to Namibia. She was so excited! They had packed their bags anticipating God's faithfulness when they still needed $3000.00. What a reminder of His faithfulness. As we were driving to the mechanic David used the spark plug as an object lesson. He commented that the fact we only had 7 spark plugs and the other was missing is how he felt because one of our team is missing and we can tell the difference (Josiah). But it was also an example to the kids that if one of them didn't do their part it affected the entire team and their effectiveness. God has a way of forcing people to learn certain lessons in practicality as well as mentally. Pray all will flow as a team - its coming together!!

THIS TIME FOR REAL!

We are finally, actually on the road on the way there. David was told by a mechanic to put a little vice grip to temporarily fix the problem of the spark plug not connecting like it should. We didn't have any problems except the engine light came on. It drives a little rough but is not overheating or even acting like it is getting hot. We finally left Springdale around 9:00p.m. and decided although we couldn't get to Atlanta we would drive to Memphis. Well, that sure changed once we got going - so we decided to go to N. Little Rock because at least we would be that many hours ahead. We got to bed around 2:00 a.m. and slept till about 8:30, had breakfast and are heading out. Our goal is to make it to Lakeland Florida to check out the move of God there tonight. Please pray we can resolve our spark plug issue somehow by someone along the way - even an angel that will know how to fix it quickly and CHEAPLY. We are enjoying the time together talking about the differences there and what to expect. It occurred to me this morning that I hadn't told any of the kids about the fact that Peru has a totally different electrical system and they cannot plug our stuff into the wall!! Forgot to get the converter but I think I will just get one in either Walmart or wait till there. Please pray for our trip today - NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VAN and of course safety. Thanks again to all of you who gave to make this possible and those who are praying.Have a wonderful day of rest! God bless you!

CAR PROBLEMS - BUT JESUS IS LORD!!

We were finally all packed and headed down the street and our van started chugging. We had to turn around and it is a spark plug problem!!!! Please pray - because since its Saturday we can't find a mechanic. We can't leave till it is working. It is a spark plug thing that is stripped. PRAY PLEASE!!
Just received this from Donna Brown:
The Lord's favor is being poured out upon the Ecclesia College missions' team and the Conquerors (a group like the Power Team) ministry that have been in Lima these past two-three weeks. An e-mail we received yesterday noted some 1,000 salvations as the groups were ministering in the various public schools around the city. Now, it appears that at least four TV channels are following the groups around and there is such excitement and interest in this unusual venue of ministry that Pastor Julio (Ani's dad) is having to say "no" to some media interviews. The most unusual favor about this is that in times past many "big name" ministry groups have gone to Peru with large budgets and they could not buy half the media exposure that is being freely poured out upon these ministry groups.

Tonight is the final evangelism rally with the Conquerors in Lima. At least 20,000 persons are expected at the very large park in the center of town. Please pray for the Lord's Spirit to bring many unto Himself and that this new salvations be eternal fruit, fruit that remains, good fruit.

KEEP PRAYING PLEASE!!

We are on our Way!!

It is now 12:10p.m. (afternoon) on Saturday and we are about to embark on our adventure. FINALLY!! I went to bed at 2:00 and David around 3:00. We finally have the van packed (and boy is it packed - we look like we are moving for good- I guess I should get a picture-) And I am getting some last minute stuff done. Hopefully we can be out of here by 1:00. Pray for a safe journey. ALSO tonite is a huge outdoor campaign in Lima where the strength team called the Conquerors will speak and do power feats. They are expecting huge crowds. Pray for many salvations!! We are off!!

LORD HELP US!

Imagine trying to get 7 people all focusing all day on the same things!! Quite a feat!! We are still chugging along and it is now 1:14 a.m. Our plans were to leave at 5:00 a.m. to drive to some friends in Atlanta. I will be happy to get to sleep before then. Will let you know more later

God is already moving in Peru!! 1 more day before we leave!!

Below is a report from the Ecclecia team in Iquitos. Just last night they had their first meeting with "The Conquerors" (a team that does feats of strength to draw crowds and then presents the gospel) and the report is 1000 youth came to Christ!! It is definitely because of the prayers!! Thanks to all of you who have been praying for them. We (Kimlers) leave tomorrow morning to join them on the 16th as they finish out their last week in Peru. Then we will go on to the Amazon. We found out yesterday the Youth Camp we will be teaching at is going to be a large number of unsaved youth. Please pray for their salvation and that they will have radical conversions and be sold out to the Lord! Thought you would be blessed to read this. It is written by the Ecclesia team leader Sherrie Ketner.
Thanks again for your prayers!! Robin and David Kimler

Hello to all!!!!

Well we have been in Peru for 2 weeks and all is so amazing and well. My team is doing so amazing. Our schedule changes everyday and we are in a gerenal constant state of not really being very sure of what is happening, but we are joyfully, and seeing the Lord do amazing things while we are simply being obeident. We have seen nearly 40 people come to christ, we have handed out 560 salvation bracletes that explianing salvation and many other stories. We have seen the Lord heal a sick baby, speak words of affirmation to a pregant woman, and seen the Lord bring healing to hearts. Yesterday we had no idea what we were doing, but a group of us were with a church and they had all the children in their church, about 90, come and they got tracks and books of hope and went door to door in their community. It was amazing. These kids, all from ages of 4 to 12, excitedly, joyfully, and with the passion and fire of the Lord, unashamed went door to door and invited people to church and to christ, it was one of the most amazing sites of my life. They swarmed the pastor to get tracks and then just ran when they had them. They want people to come to christ in such deep ways. We truly were taught by these children what it is to share christ with no shame and full joy and simply that we should. We were taught so much in one morning with a group of children who were on fire for the Lord than we could have ever imagined or asked for.

Thank you for all of your prayers and love. We truly still need prayer, we have had some sickness and some injuries, we are all fine and have been laughing about it all but we truly need prayer for the next two weeks.

The strength team comes this evening and our schedules are about to become intense. Also we have one day July 12th where it will be a very very, like 30 thousand people event, where the strength team will be presenting there show and then sharing christ and we will be doing 3 dramas and music, and passing out books of hope that day. The event is at 3 pm our time and we truly truly need a lot of prayer for that day. Please join with us as we desire to finish strong and joyfully. We are very blessed and loved here and a lot of that is due to the covering of prayer we have had. Thank you for your hearts.

Blessing

Sherryk

Well, its 11:37 and I thank the Lord for His grace today. I found out my Korean daughter's mother who was buddhist trusted Christ!! What answered prayer!! She is still praying for her dad and brother to come to Jesus, but her mom seemed to be the hardest and that is where God started!! Also talked today to Luis Davila (the Pastor over 30 pastors on the Amazon) and he told me that the youth camp will be mostly unsaved youth. So please pray for them to come to Christ!! That there would be such radical changes in their lives and they would never be the same!!
The twins are so excited that in their words "we are wired". I know God is going to touch them. Josiah has decided he cannot go, because the funding did not come in for Him. I am a little sad about that, but God has his plan. WE trust you Lord!!

ONLY 2 MORE DAYS!!

Just a quick note to say thanks. God is amazing. Our bills here are paid while we are gone!! We have a wonderful couple staying in our house who love the Lord and are raising support for full time missions to North Africa!! We are getting excited as things are getting done. But still so much to do. We thank each one of you that are praying!! Pray for health for all of us please.

ONLY 3 DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE!!

Thanks to so many of you who have been a part of us going!! We are sorting through packing for 2 different kinds of weather. In Lima and Bogota it is sweater weather at times and in the Amazon - well that is hot!! So we are trying to limit ourselves to 1 suitcase each (which is 7 right now unless Josiah goes) and put our sleeping bags, pads in some bags. Still lots of details to tie up. I think I (Robin) will breath easier once we are on our way and details are DONE!
Josiah is praying about coming - but not feeling sure yet - pray for God's will.
Pray for :
PEACE
Organization
We take what we should and bring things to give away
We don't forget anything we should remember
FUN in the process - kindness to each other
Customs will let our things through to give away - We are taking 2 keyboards, water filters, some material, toys and some clothes
OBEDIENCE from those kids who are given jobs to do and not be distracted
Focusing on the task
THANKS!!!

Monday, July 7, 2008

ONLY 5 more days!! We have most of our money in. It looks like Josiah might be able to go. But we need the Lord to verify. Please pray for him.
Lots to do - thanks for your prayers. We are busy taking care of last minute details.

ONLY 11 MORE DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE!!
God is bringing in Funds!! Please pray we will have total amount as soon as possible. We are also asking God to provide money to help pay for the youth camp, to take water filters, to buy water filter supplies to build them on the Amazon. We got a wonderful report yesterday from the team from Ecclesia College in Lima. They have seen many people saved and are ministering in the high schools in Lima!!
