Peru is so AWESOME!!! It was wonderful getting to be in Lima for a few days with the Ecclesia team. The people there are so precious!! We just got to the Amazon yesterday and as we were flying in I felt like I was flying into the place where the movie "The End of the Spear" took place. Our view from the back porch is the Amazon river with all these little huts built on it. And there is a market right outside the front door of where we are!! It is so awesome to just sit and watch all the beautiful people here!! Tommorrow we are starting the youth camp and most of the teens that are coming are not christians so PLEASE PRAY!! Pray that we would be a true representation of Christ to these people. There is a big chance that I will be a counseler or a co-counseler so please pray that God will use me in the lives of these teens. Thank you!!

WE ARE IN THE STATES!! Bogota was way different from everything else. Most of the people in the house could either talk English or understand so I got to talk to a lot of them. Pahola, the oldest girl was really talkative and Liliana was funny. In Bogota I saw how I should be thankful for all I have because I saw little children on the streets begging and went inside some of the little shacks where they lived. Many are made of tin and and maybe wood and plastic. The floors were dirt covered with torn up old carpet. They all had televisions of course! (shock!) The children are so precious. Inside the house there is one bathroom, one bedroom, small kitchen and maybe living room/eating room. The houses are attached one to another and everything is very crammed with nasty water running down the mountain. We were able to help feed the children at the project and they were so happy because they had that help even when their living situation was so bad. I learned a lot more Spanish. I want to go back again sometime.

I had an amazing time. The market in Lima was crowded with a big booth of fresh fish, chickens hanging by their heads.
